MouseMitt is a small e-commerce company that sells ergonomic gloves to protect wrists from the strain associated with RSI. Creator and Owner, Tana Lee Tolson was hoping to revive recessionary (declining) sales with a fresh new look, engaging copy, and search engine optimization. Additionally, her processes for managing and fulfilling orders as well as maintaining and utilizing customer contact information were cumbersome. MouseMitt was originally intended to be a side business, and Tana hoped for ways to reduce the time commitment.

Tana first worked with a copywriter to craft new written content and a tagline. Then we researched various e-commerce platforms and recommend the hosted platform, Shopify as the best balance of price to features. We designed a new look for MouseMitt, then implemented it in Shopify as a custom theme. Additionally, we integrated the third-party services MailChimp for building and utilizing email marketing, and Shipwire for automated order fulfillment. The result is a unique looking store-front that appeals to MouseMitt’s mostly female audience, and a streamlined back-end that improves efficiency.
